Data Engineer Data Scientist

I build data platforms and analyze data for a living, with a focus on machine learning and causal inference. On my days off, I play folklore, the folk music of the South American Andes.

About

My work is about collecting data, putting it in order, and making it usable. I move back and forth between building the platform and doing the analysis, and I care about seeing things through, until an initiative is actually running and its effect can be seen.

After graduate school in physics, I started out as an engineer on an ad delivery platform and later moved into data science. Today, alongside building data platforms and doing analysis, I work with companies from the earliest stages to think through how they can put their data to use.

Outside of work, I belong to two groups, Nishida Friends and YAMA, and mostly play original music influenced by folklore.
